Στον εντυπωσιακό και φιλόξενο χώρο του The European Centre Athens στην καρδιά της Αθήνας, Μητροπόλεως 74, οργανώνεται για μία ακόμη φορά η Εκθεση
"The City and the World".
Πρόκειται για έκθεση των βραβευμένων Αρχιτεκτονικών έργων σε διεθνές επίπεδο για το 2020, στα πλαίσια του Ιnternational Architecture Awards® 2020.
Διοργανωτές είναι το The Chicago Athenaeum International Museum και το the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
Ο θεσμός International Architecture Awards®, ιδρύθηκε το 2005, είναι ο παλαιότερος, ετήσιος εορτασμός παγκόσμιας αρχιτεκτονικής, παρατηρεί τις διεθνείς τάσεις και τον ανταγωνισμό για τον τίτλο του Παγκόσμιου Κτιρίου του έτους.
Εγκαίνια : Παρασκευή 11 Σεπτεμβρίου 13.00 – 20.00
Διάρκεια : 11 Σεπτεμβρίου - 11 Οκτωβρίου.
Θεωρώ ότι η έκθεση δεν θα έχει μόνο εξαιρετικό ενδιαφέρον για τους Αρχιτέκτονες αλλά και για όλους που αγαπούν την τέχνη και τη δημιουργία, και θέλουν να γνωρίζουν τις νέες τάσεις του τομέα της Αρχιτεκτονικής.

International Architecture Awards® 2020
Founded in 2005, The International Architecture Awards®, organized by The Chicago Athenaeum International Museum and the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, is the oldest, annual public celebration of global architecture that sees practices around the world compete for the title of Global Building of the Year.
The International Architecture Awards® are the only non-commercial, global, and public awards program given jointly by two nonprofit Museums in the United States and Europe dedicated to public education concerning architecture and industrial design.
The Awards are regarded internationally as a mark of excellence, recognizing the best global architecture practices, as well as the corporate clients, developers, state and local governments, institutions, general contractors that produced them.
This elite group of buildings and urban planning projects will be presented at The European Centre Athens (74 Mitropoleos Str., GR-105 63 Athens, Greece) from September 11th until October 11th.
The exhibition titled “THE CITY AND THE WORLD” presents the works of award-winning architectural offices with photographic materials and videos. Some of the architectural offices participating in the exhibition are: A new corporate headquarters building by Morphosis Architects in South Korea, a new museum by Mecanoo in Taiwan, a new bridge and passenger clearance building by Aedas and Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners in Macao and Hong Kong, the world’s largest urban park by Omrania and Henning Larsen Architects in Saudi Arabia, four new skyscrapers by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, a stunning urban design by ASPECT Studios/Kengo Kuma in Sydney, a restored museum by Frank Gehry, a new Miami High-Rise by Herzog & de Meuron, a New London Tower by SOM, two new bridges by WilkinsonEyre, a new mixed-use building by MVRDV in Amsterdam, innovative residential architecture by NADAAA and Christ.Christ. associated architects, a sleek tower by Pininfarina, a new house in Russia by J. MAYER H. und Partner, three innovative projects by Trahan Architects in the USA, 3XN Architects' Olympic House in Lausanne, Switzerland, and a new McDonald’s restaurant in Chicago by Ross Barney Architects.

PLEASE NOTE: On Friday September 11th, there will be held an extended opening, from 13:00 until 20:00. Following the instructions of the competent authorities and with priority to public health and safety, up to 20 people will be able to enter the exhibition space at the same time. The use of the mask is mandatory in the space.
